His Story

He was born in Iree in 1952 and died in Lagos on August 5th, 2025. Between those two dates he built a family, ran businesses, answered a call to ministry, and spent the last nine years of his life as the pastor of a church he had founded himself.

This is his story, told in chapters. It is drawn from his own recordings, from family memory, and from the facts that can be assembled. Where dates are uncertain, it says so. Where the record is thin, it does not invent. What you will find here is a truthful account of a man who took his faith seriously and let it shape everything he touched.

1952

Early Life and Family Heritage

1952 – 1976

Iree

Where he came from

He was born in Iree to Pa Daniel Tayo and Esther Lolounpe Omotayo. He was an exceptionally bright child — and paid for it when family difficulties intervened at exactly the wrong moment.

Education and Professional Journey

Growing in diligence, excellence, and purpose.

From humble beginnings to positions of leadership, every opportunity became another classroom where integrity, discipline, and servant-hearted leadership were refined. His work was never merely a profession, but an expression of faithful stewardship.

1977 – 1987

The Turning

The year everything changed

In April 1977, at the age of twenty-five, he gave his life to Christ. He was working at ECWA Production Ltd. in Lagos when it happened, and nothing after that year was the same.

1985 – 2000

A Family of His Own

Marriage, children, and the home they built

He married Rebecca Bosede in 1985. Six children followed. The household he built was defined by the faith that had become the organizing principle of his adult life.

Pastoral Ministry and Divine Commission

Answering the call with unwavering obedience.

God's call upon his life became a lifelong mission. Through preaching, teaching, deliverance, and discipleship, he faithfully proclaimed the Gospel with conviction, compassion, and the power of the Holy Spirit.

1995 – 2020

School of Fire

The call confirmed

In December 1995 he applied to Christ the Redeemer's Ministries' School of Deliverance. He completed the programme and came back as a lecturer. What had been building since 1977 was now formal.

2020 - 2025

Founding Gospel Light Fellowship Centre

Building a house where Christ was exalted.

What began as an act of obedience grew into a ministry marked by prayer, holiness, compassion, and hope. Gospel Light Fellowship Centre became a place where lives were restored, burdens were lifted, and Christ was faithfully proclaimed.

Love for Gospel Music

A heart that found joy in worship.

For him, music was more than melody; it was an atmosphere of worship. Through hymns, choruses, and songs of praise, he continually filled his home and ministry with reminders of God's faithfulness.

1985 - 2024

Family Life and Legacy

Leading first at home.

Beyond the pulpit stood a devoted husband, loving father, caring grandfather, and faithful mentor. His greatest legacy was not only the messages he preached, but the lives he nurtured and the family he loved so deeply.
