In December 1995 he applied to Christ the Redeemer's Ministries' School of Deliverance. This was not a casual decision. He was in his early forties, with a wife, children, and a running business. He applied because he believed he needed to be trained properly, and that conviction mattered more than the inconvenience.
He completed the programme. They asked him back as a lecturer. He had come to study and ended up teaching there.
He was also active at Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries during this period, part of the Crisis Intercessors prayer group known as God's Violent Army. The intercession work went deep. Prayer had always been central to his life; it became more so in these years.
He was ordained [year to be confirmed by the family] and spent the years between his ordination and 2016 continuing to work, pastor informally, and prepare for what he increasingly understood to be coming. The twins arrived in 2000; Hannah in 2003. The family was complete. The conviction about ministry was growing.
He knew what he was going to do. He had known, in some form, since 1977. The question had always been when.
