Chapter One1952
Early Life and Family Heritage
The roots from which a remarkable life would grow.
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb... All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
Psalm 139:13–16
Pastor Zacchaeus Aderemi Olawale Omotayo was born in Agbo'le Akasoro, Iree (Akasoro Compound), Osun State. He was the third-born and first son of Pa Daniel 'Tayo and Esther 'Lalounpe, in a family that was highly respected in their community. Growing up, Zacchaeus earned the affectionate nickname "Idowu Gagara" because of his striking resemblance to their revered and beloved family patriarch, his paternal grandfather, an illustrious and influential figure in the area.
