A Tribute to God’s General

Pastor Omotayo! (wish you could read this). Words fail me as I try to write this tribute. You gave a 'heads up' on this development, but I refused to acknowledge it, I just couldn't wrap my head around it, though I saw it coming, I was in deep denial. *Shock ni o!*

God's General, you were indeed sold out to Christ, your passion for God was infectious. Selfless to a fault, sacrificial and humble. Your love for your family was total. Their education was paramount.

Humble to the core, it is in your ministry, that one would realise the kind of relationship you had with the Father. Pastor, you were my Pastor, my spiritual father and my mentor. You nurtured me spiritually. Everything that puzzles me stops at your table, where you would give me Godly counsel and advice.

That You left a vacuum is certainly an understatement. I'll keep the flame glowing. I was consoled when a close associate of yours told me, he had a dream in which he saw you glorious, and in an enviable mansion. God's General, you finished strong. Goodnight, till we meet again on the resurrection morning.
